We are looking for a HSE OFFICER experienced in Road & Infra projects.
Role and Responsibilities
- Develops and implements safety program to prevent or correct unsafe environmental working conditions
- Develops and implements hazard identification & risk assessment for all working activities
- Examines plans and specifications for new machinery or equipment to determine if all safety precautions have been included
- Tours plant to inspect fire and safety equipment, machinery, and facilities to identify and correct potential hazards
- Investigates accidents or incidents determines root causes and measures necessary to prevent a recurrence in line with the Companies accident investigation and reporting procedure
- Orders the sealing off of areas if a danger or unsafe condition is evident
- Develops and conducts regular safety & firefighting training programs both in class and firefighting drills to all field-based personnel according to company fire training schedules
- Provides advice to field/terminal personnel on the implementation of safe working systems and on the availability and use of protective equipment
- Provides expert firefighting advice in the event of a fire break out, and leads firefighting and rescue operations
- Maintains records and statistics on accidents or incidents causing a breach of safety regulations.
- Submits various reports and statistics in periodic safety meetings
- Inspects new equipment/process prior to commissioning, reviews related designs and installation plans to ensure conformity to company safety standards and regulations
- Participates in setting the specifications and descriptions of new fire equipment/systems to be ordered and supervises their installation and commissioning
- Sets stock level for safety & loss prevention materials and spares in conjunction with commercial support division
- Participates in setting specifications and descriptions of new equipment to be ordered
- Prepares material demands/ requisitions for safety & fire equipment and spare parts
- Performs other duties assigned by immediate superior as & when required
